So in my opinion everybody should be allowed to discuss whatever sudoku related topics she/he wants in this board, regardless of if a puzzle being discussed has originated here or elsewhere.
If people are told not to do so, then they will just go elsewhere with their discussion and after a while probably forget about this board completely.
In my humble opinion this is exactly what Ed is achieving with his statement:
