Let's see if this helps! :geek:

Note the 6, 7 & 9 might have some variations in different calculators/microwaves/digital watch etc...

PS: I think I got it:
Hidden Text:
1=0110000
4=0110011
5=1011011
6=1011111
2=1101101
7=1110000
9=1110011
3=1111001
0=1111110
8=1111111

The disrupted order between 9 & 3 is probably due to the 9 not having the bottom bar. With the bottom bar 9 would come after 3.

Well done Matt :applause: . Your turn again.

Even the graphics (which I couldn't do) and a full analysis.

Bonus points as well for spotting the error in the 9 not being 180 degs rotation symmetric with the 6. Do bonus points mean two goes?

Still trying to think of something for the com site.

Thanks, just got lucky this time, "pirated" from the brilliant insights from Oscar & Richard. :pirate:

Well in that case I'd like to pass my posting right to Oscar, and if he doesn't like to post one then to Richard, considering I just posted one not long ago... :mrgreen:

This Seems like a unique opportunity :dance: thanking Matt and Richard of course.
I take it and propose the following quiz in which, like in Sudoku, there is no room for number 0
What is the significance of number:
152469378

The number of metres Oscar has travelled this year. Used to "Location: Mexico"! ;)

Is it a type of code eg Morse Code? The number "0" is represented by 5 dashes.

No Ed, I have not traveled that much, the figure woul be more on the range of centimeters travelled :naughty:
And one precision, I put location Mexico since it's my nationality, but now I am based in Montesson, France.

Now the explanaition for the absence of 0 is the first hint

There is NO way to represent 0 :shock:

I'm thinking Roman Numerals here

1 = I
5 = V
2 = II
4 = IV
6 = VI
9 = IX
3 = III
7 = VII
8 = VIII

So we start with simplest single character and then build complexity of number of characters, with simplest initial digit taking precedence.

Excellent Richard + you have resolved a problem that we thought might have arisen by using 'simplest initial character'. We'll wait for Oscar to confirm that, but it looks like you are going to be the next question master.

Great answer Richard! ;clapclap; :thumbs: :applause:

My interpretation with the ordering preferences of the Roman Numerals would be:

1 (most prominent): number of characters

2 (if tied on 1): largest character (I < V < X)

3 (if tied on 1+2): first character

:ugeek:
