I got overconfident and tried #F. Bad idea -- that is a VERY difficult puzzle.

Will come back later and try one of the easier versoins!

Based on your comment I felt challenged to try solving this puzzle.
It is certainly difficult, mainly because not much of the puzzle is solved when the advanced techniques are needed.

I made the puzzle about two weeks ago and unfortunately (or lucky) for me I remembered the XYZ-Wing and the XY-Wing being the correct ones when I found them. Strangely enough I had no remembrance of the Two String Kites and the X-Wing.
I even discovered that the X-Wing is not required. I have updated the puzzle information for #F to reflect this.

I vague hint:
Hidden Text:
The first Two String Kite is needed in another grid than the three other advanced techniques, which are needed in the same grid.

Exactly. Oddly, I was able to find the xyz-wing and the red herring empty rectangle (my first empty rectangle, and it didn't even help!), but some of the smaller fishies eluded me....

This puzzle has several red herrings, getting you nowhere. They are just frustrating cul-de-sacs :D

It's impressive you found the XYZ-Wing. Too bad you did not find the first Two String Kite.
Hidden Text:
It is essential to crack to puzzle since it enables the second Two String Kite, which together with XYZ-Wing lays the XY-Wing bare.
