There are three puzzles and two or three difficulties to choose from, dependent on the solving techniques deployed.
All three puzzles have the same solution.

A) Apprentice (mainstream edition). This one is probably the hardest Apprentice Samurai so far!
B) Master-1 (31 Intersections, 2 Naked Pairs, 5 Naked Triplets, 2 Naked Quads, 2 Two-String Kites, 1 Finned X-Wing, 2 XY-Wings). One XY-Wing can be replaced with a Uniqueness Test 1.
C) Master-2 (30 Intersections, 1 Naked Pair, 5 Naked Triplets, 1 Naked Quad, 1 Two String Kite, 1 Finned X-Wing, 1 Finned Swordfish, 1 Uniqueness Test 1).

Without the Uniqueness Test 1 the Master-2 puzzle becomes a GURU puzzle with the following techniques list:
C) Guru (35 Intersections, 2 Naked Pairs, 5 Naked Triplets, 1 Naked Quad, 1 Hidden Pair, 1 Skyscraper, 2 Two-String Kites, 1 Finned X-Wing, 1 Finned Swordfish, 2 XY-Wings, 1 XYZ-Wing, 2 Y-Wings, 3 XY-Chains up to 5 links, 4 longer XY-Chains, 3 XY-X-Chains up to 3 links, 5 longer XY-X-Chains).

Here a mini-mini Walktrough of the #11B (Master-1) puzzle.
The only advanced technique required to solve this puzzle is a single XY-Wing.
