Børge, I was away on vacation for a couple of weeks, but was very pleased to return and find the 'special' version here. Very enjoyable, thanks!

It was perhaps a tiny bit easier than your average "extra hard" puzzle....which is not a complaint! I recommend it to anyone who might be thinking about starting to try the master-level puzzles.

I found only two of the three red herring skyscrapers....and a couple of red herring x-wings also :D

jsmif,
I'm glad you enjoyed the "special" version. During the making of the Regular Clueless Special #34 puzzles, it just popped up, and I thought it might be right up your alley. Whenever I make puzzles, I try to look out for puzzles requiring "lots" of your favourite techniques only.

As a result of your enjoyment, I have switched this and next week's Regular Clueless Explosion puzzles. This weeks RCE #37 Master level puzzles requires 2 advanced techniques only, which both are Skyscrapers, so I hope you will enjoy it ..... unless you chicken out and go for the Journeyman or one of the three Junior Master puzzles instead ;).
But be warned .... I think you will find the RCE #37 Master level puzzle pretty difficult  ..... AND the toughie originally planned for this week will haunt you next week instead.
FEEDBACK regarding the difficulty of the RCE #37 Master level puzzle would be appreciated.

Perhaps the "jsmif special" is a tiny bit easier than the average Master level puzzle. Maybe due to its "easier" techniques compared to the techniques required for several of the recent Master level puzzles. If I had not "found" the published Master level puzzle, the "special" version would have been the Master level puzzle. Since there to my knowledge has not been a standard Master level puzzle requiring a Uniqueness Test 3, I decided to make the one requiring this technique the Master level puzzle.

The first anniversary for my puzzle making is nearing and I have definitely made puzzles for a longer period than initially intended. The main reason is that I have not found the time to make a release version of my Sudoku Puzzle Generator Helper. I apologise to everyone and to George in particular for not having released this software yet. As a result I will for the time being continue to make puzzles. I have now gotten so much practice that it goes much faster and smoother than when I started out.

This one defeated me -- I was not able to find
Hidden Text:
the first skyscraper which is required rather early in the process
without having to ask jsudoku for a clue.

Nonetheless, it was an excellent (and reasonable) puzzle, and I like to think I'd be able to solve it in the future with a little more patience (I didn't have a LOT of time to work on it this week)....

If you asked JSudoku for the grid in which the first Skyscraper is required, please note that I in cloaked text in the heading of each Regular Puzzle Post, list the grid(s) each advanced technique is required in.
