Hi everyone!

I used to do these clueless specials on Ruud's Sudoku site all the time, but since he's left, have no longer worked them.

My problem is that I had a computer virus a month ago, and ended up formatting my computer and re-installing all my software. Except for my clueless helper - which needs to be registered (again) to work, but since Ruud is no longer on his site, he's not registering anything....

Suffice it to say.... my question is:
can anyone suggest a helper to input these puzzles into.

I don't want something to solve these for me, only to help with the formatting of it.

Thanks in advance!

Good to see you here, Lynn!

Both Sudoku Solver (by Richard Broughton) and JSudoku (by Jean-Christophe) will handle Clueless Specials and Clueless Explosions. I use them all the time to calculate pencil marks for me, and to print entire puzzles (I print the individual grids with Sudocue, but that may change soon, as well). Not only that, but Børge posts a new one of each for us each week, usually in several difficulty levels.

He and tarek have been taking turns posting a weekly samurai, and tarek also posted several nice Kazaguruma a couple of weeks ago. In addition, Jean-Christophe and others post puzzles for us from time to time, as well. And of course, the killer and kakuro sections are always active. (I'm wondering how long it will be before someone comes along and posts a new taiken, MOAG, or DOAG, but I expect it's not too far away.)

BTW, you SHOULD be able to delete your own duplicate post/thread. If it doesn't work, try PMing Richard Broughton (administrator).

A thread with a single post, which you have created, you can delete again:
  1. Log in.
  2. Click on the X in the bottom right corner of your post, and then answer the next question with YES.

As soon as a thread has more than one post it becomes more difficult:
  1. The last post must be deleted by its creator.
  2. The now new last post must then be deleted by its creator.
  3. Do step B until the thread has a single post only.
  4. The owner of the first (and now only) post can then delete the complete thread.

Alternatively an administrator can delete the complete thread.

In some forums I'm on, a "delete me" thread is an open invitation for shameless post count padding.
