I agree, you did it in one fish which replaced my second one and you avoided the first one.

For me the first one stood out and I do think the Sue de Coq move is pretty.

#3 is an NC - on the other forum shortly.

I absolutely agree that the Sue de Coq move is pretty.

I do not like Non-Consecutive, so I will not promise I'll try it. Since it is #3, I surmised that there must be a #2 and searching the "other forum" (Sudoku Players' Forums) I found it here:
http://www.sudoku.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=14935

And #2 indeed has a very pretty trapeze fish. :pirate:
It also has several XY-Loop, but they yield no eliminations.
I also found an X-Wing and other fishes, but they do not contribute to the solving.

Twins Sudoku #2 Walkthrough:
1.

2. Naked Singles as shown here:

3. Intersections on 4
a) Hidden Single 4 in r3c1

4. Six Hidden Single 8 (ALL 9 digit 8 are now placed)

5. Intersections on 4
a) Hidden Single 4 in r4c9
b) Hidden Single 4 in r6c2

6. Intersection on 6
a) Hidden Single 6 in r1c2

7. Rest of puzzle is Naked Singles only.

I worked in the same area as you guys but saw it differently (more killer like! ;) ).

Twins Sudoku 1
1 step cracker:
r7c23 must have 7 or 3 since [58] would clash with r7c9 -> hidden pair 3,7 in n7 with r9c3: both locked for n7
Look me a lot longer than a few minutes to find however! Blame the rust.

Cheers
Ed

Børge - same solution for #2

Ed - that is half the Sue de Coq, but sufficient to do it.

#3 now posted in the same stream at sudoku.com. It is an NC X and there is a choice of a harder version.

I'm not sure how well these will do as puzzles. However I think they will be very useful in learning fishes as they show up well and you get to them immediately.
