Well I see a "typo" in the shading in puzzle #6. On the bottom row, the given 6 & 4 should be shaded pink, and so should the next two cells on the bottom row in Nonet 8.

So, r9c2, r9c3, r9c4, and r9c5 should all be pink? OK, I'll fix it!

Yes, please.

Is this what you mean by getting the codes ready? I put puzzle 3 into Sudocue since that's one of the variants, and I copied this out:

. . .|7 . .|. . 6
. 6 .|. . .|. . 4
. 9 .|1 . 2|. 7 .
-----+-----+-----
8 . .|. . .|5 6 1
. . 6|. . .|4 . .
. 2 1|. . .|8 . 3
-----+-----+-----
. 3 .|5 1 .|. 8 .
1 8 .|. . .|. 4 .
9 . .|. . 6|. . .

Let me know if I should put all of them in there? I can't do the shading for some of the variants like triangles or zig zags? But I can get the strings to look like this.

ETA: OOH! I figured out what you meant by using the Optimize in Sudocue. It gave me even less numbers as clues, and still keeps the center square blank:

. . .|7 . .|. . 6
. . .|. . .|. . 4
. 9 .|. . 2|. 7 .
-----+-----+-----
8 . .|. . .|5 . 1
. . 6|. . .|. . .
. 2 1|. . .|. . 3
-----+-----+-----
. 3 .|5 1 .|. 8 .
1 8 .|. . .|. 4 .
9 . .|. . 6|. . .

Thanks for the explanations!

That would be great!

Can they be put into Sumocue and treated like jigsaws? I'm not sure.

You can do the zig zags, triangles, odd-even and non-con in JSudoku if needed. JSudoku allows you to create any extra group (of 9 cells) you want and you are able to place givens in it.

But i think there is a mistake in two of the puzzles. I asked Amy about it. Might just be my mistake.

There is definitely a mistake in Puzzle 9 Jigsaw. I'll try to recreate it to get the right answer. The center nonet should be
367
185
294

Thanks for your proofreading! I wish someone had looked at it before I asked to have it published, but you guys are the only ones I know who even know what I'm trying to do!

I've got a major thunderstorm starting right now so I'll get back to it asap.

Thanks,

Ok for Puzzle #9, I'm going to ask Enxio for one more correction. Please put a 2 in R5C1, and change the 2 to a 5 in R9C1. (I'll send you the Excel file again in case this is goofy.)

Thanks!

How's that now?

Post subject:  Re: Clueless Flower Puzzle

I sent the file again in e-mail to clear that up.

Also, Para has made the outer puzzles "unsolveable" on their own! I'll learn how to upload. I'll keep my version as "easy" and hers will be truly "clueless."

I am getting the hotmail account setup so I can upload my own images, too!

Below I see an "attach file" option. Does anyone know what kind of files you can attach? Like an Excel file?

Then I just want to find out how to put my picture below my name (avatar). I had it on the "old" board, but I can't get it to upload here... I know the photo's file is really small, maybe it's cause I'm in Firefox now, instead if IE?

Anyway, Thanks again!

OK--looks like I got your explanation right.

I think you can (as long as Richard hasn't disabled it), but I expect there's a limit on file size. I don't know what it is though--you could try it and find out.

Then I just want to find out how to put my picture below my name (avatar).

Click on "User Control Panel" (top right of the screen), then on "Profile" (under "Options" on the left side). Then click on "Edit avatar". It should be pretty self-explanatory from there. Don't forget to click on "Submit" before you leave the page. There may be a limit on the image size (80x80 pixels is common).

Now I'm off to bed--I'm trying to finish up the enxio27 Samurai #1 that Boerge made for me. I don't get very much time (if any) each day to work on puzzles, so it takes me a while to get through them (I write down each step as I go). Usually 10-15 minutes before I go to sleep is as much time as I get, but it helps tire my mind enough so that I can sleep.
