Here's another unique puzzle. It was created by Brainfreeze Puzzles in honor of Pi Day (March 14, i.e. 3.14). Quote: What is Pi Day? Pi Day is a celebration of the number π that occurs every March 14 (3.14...). Math geeks all over the world celebrate their math-geekiness on this day with pie-eating contests, recitations of the digits of pi, and occasionally fundraisers where math faculty get hit in the face with pies. At Brainfreeze Puzzles we celebrate Pi Day - how else? - with a Sudoku puzzle. Rules: Each row, column, and jigsaw region must contain exactly the first twelve digits of pi, including repeats: 3.14159265358. Notice that each region will contain two 1's, two 3's, three 5's, and no 7's. This puzzle is the most fun you'll ever have memorizing the first twelve digits of π ! |

Solution: Perhaps a bigger challenge than solving this puzzle itself is the entering and then working at it in JSudoku. BTW my gut feeling is that the 1st 12 digits of Pi should have been 3.14159265359 (rounded to 11 d.p.). And thanks heaps for posting the other variants. To much to digest for now though. |

Well it says the first 12 digits of pi, not pi in twelve digits. If you write 123456789 and someone asks you, name the first 5 digits, you wouldn't say 12346 either. But that is just my opinion . I also made puzzles based on the first digits of pi and i never rounded them either then. It's easier to find the digits this way for someone who doesn't know them by heart. Makes for interesting killers btw. |

Why not celebrate your love of Pi by using 9 digits from the 186,557,264th decimal place which are 891234567.That way every Sudoku can be a party day. |

Or do you personally have a database of 1 billion Pi digits and just cranked it up yourself? What is the earliest position for "0123456789", for example? |
