Post subject: | Sudoku for Android? |
I just got a new Android phone (my previous phone died on me). Anyone know of a GOOD sudoku app for Android (i.e. puzzles of what we here would call tough/hard/very hard difficulty, single-solution only, perhaps with variants such as sudoku-X and jigsaw)? I still prefer to do puzzles on paper, of course, but I know there will be times that I will be away from home, having time to "kill", and no paper puzzles with me. |

After doing a LOT of playing, I can recommend the following Sudoku apps for Android: Sudoku 10'000 Free Sudoku 10'000 Sudoku4ever Free Andoku 2 The first three are by the same author, and can import SDM, SDK, and SDC format puzzles. Used to (and I think still does) have a link to Ruud's puzzle collections. The last one is by a different author, and includes the following variants (as well as vanilla): X (diagonal), hyper-sudoku (windoku), percent-sudoku (extra region in the form of a percent sign), and color sudoku. All are available in jigsaw and standard 9x9 grid styles. UPDATE: Another program that I previously listed, formerly called Andoku but now renamed Sudoku2Go, has been bought out by a different author, and I can no longer recommend it. |
