The forums are almost deserted now. No new Clueless Specials, Clueless Explosions, or Samurai in weeks, and it appears that Børge has caught the Ruud disease, as well.

That's a shame. Unfortunately, I never yet got around to looking at how to generate any type of puzzle.

I wish it were not so but surely there are too many contributors who throw their toys out of the pram.Having said that I can't begin to talk because it's others who spend time creating such brilliant stuff.

Maybe there's a connection between emotional volatility and high IQ

Richard, I want you to know that I, for one, appreciate very much your setting up these forums for us, after Ruud abandoned his. :salute: I hope that you are able to keep them available for some time to come, and to continue to maintain your excellent software.

goooders, I don't think it's so much a matter of throwing toys out of the pram. I suspect that the main issue is that the novelty of sudoku has worn off, and only a few die-hards are left to carry on. Perhaps Ruud, Jean-Christophe, Børge, and others simply felt their work wasn't appreciated, and so grew tired of it when it became more of a chore than a joy. Perhaps they thought, "No one cares, so why bother?"

I'm as guilty as any others for not being as as active on the forum as I used to be - a very busy couple of years at work and I also decided to spend some spare time learning the guitar.

For as long as people want to come here to swap and discuss Sudoku - or whatever- I'll keep the forum up and running.

I haven't seen any new post from Børge for ages. I was waiting for hIm to post samurai #111 but it has been long over due. I am happy to continue supporting the samurai part.

Good news! I just received a reply to the email I sent to Børge. He says he has been far more busy than usual this year, but will get back to me next week regarding sudoku (his mother's 80th birthday celebration is this weekend). :applause: :bouncy:

I have been extraordinarily busy since mid May. Real life has been too demanding.
Today is my first visit to the board since June 4.

My intention is to continue to post puzzles, but unfortunately it could become August before you will see further puzzles from me.
I am sorry about this.

I actually only logged into the board today after an email notified me about a PM from tarek.
In his PM tarek kindly offers to temporarily take over the Samurai forum until I return.
I have gratefully accepted tarek's generous offer. So until my return he will post both the odd and even numbered Samurai sudokus.

Børge, it's good to see you here again! I do understand about being busy. I hope you'll be able rejoin us again very soon. In the mean time, I'm delighted to read that tarek will be continuing to post the samurai puzzles in your absence. :applause:

There has been a slight delay in posting the Samurai puzzles due to events of the past few weeks ...

This will result in several postes in short space of time to catch up & synchronize the original puzzle number with the intended weeks. :rambo:
