Hello again! I'm shocked that it's been so long since I last logged in. This has been a crazy year so far. I still work puzzles whenever I can, but it's not as often as I would like.

tarek! I'm SO glad to see you here! :applause:

Were you ever able to make any headway on the gattai-maker we were discussing a while back on the Sudoku Players Forum?

Hi enxio27,

Unfortunately not. I'm slowly back to programming sudoku variants, but the to-do list is big. The gattai maker is on the list but near the bottom. The reason is mostly due to the fact that I wanted to finish a few projects left behind & the second is to find more fluency programming as haven't done anything for years so start from vanilla to variants to gattai.
The to-do list is mostly:
1. Anti chess sudoku (nearly finished with this now)
2. Chess tours
3. Setdoku
4. Gattai maker

Understood. I'm happy as long as I know you'll get to it at some point.

I've picked up your Bank Holiday 1108 Sumo Special again, with some trepidation. This the third time I've had to restart it. I really like the concept, though, so I'm trying hard to get through it. I find it difficult to believe that doubles are the most advanced technique needed for this puzzle.

I had to filter so many out but yes only doubles needed. At that time the machines were not strong enough to give both a pretty and reasonably solvable puzzle in that configuration so it was time consuming to get a puzzle suitable for posting.
I'm glad you still enjoy it
