Hi All

I've been working on a few bug reports and feature requests and have decided to publish another minor release. You can find it in the usual place: http://www.rcbroughton.co.uk/sudoku/SudokuSolver.msi

Version 3.5.8
    1. Added Support for 3D/Cube Sudoku Problems
    2. Added Support for Shaolin Clueless puzzles
    3. Fixed a number of problems with Windoku puzzles not loading correctly
    4. Fixed a number of problems with Gattai-X puzzles
    5. Added Verbose Log option to Solver menu – checking this option will provide greater step-by-step candidate elimination messages
    6. Added Auto Clear option to Tools menu – checking this option will remove elimination highlighting when clicking on highlight digit buttons
    7. Added more control on Clear button – default behaviour remains as is, using Ctrl key will remove only elimination highlighting and Ctrl-Alt will remove all except Digit highlighting

Sudoku3D
The implementation of 3D Sudoku represents the puzzle as 27 "slices" through the cube, 9x grids front to back, 9x grids right to left and 9x grids top to bottom:

Richard,

Thanks for the new updates to Sudoku Solver. One question: Where does one find puzzles for Cube Sudoku?

Thanks for your continued development of this fine program.

Regards,
George

George, you can find a couple of these puzzles from this thread:

P.S. There are many more if you follow the links given by tarek in the first post.

Thanks for the updates, Richard! I can see you've been working hard at this!

Why was this removed? Any way it could be added back in as a user option (perhaps off by default)? I used this a lot!

Also, "print all grids" STILL gives me an error, "Problem with the printer". Is there any way at all to fix this?

Primarily because the new 3D meant every cell was overlapping and the whole thing looked bad. Next version it's back in - with a different colour for overlapping versus clueless and a different fix to avoid the issue with 3D.

I'll need to investigate this and see what's causing it.

[UPDATE] - found and fixed for the next version. As a workaround until I release the update, it should print OK once - don't do a print preview, just print. Restart the program before the next print. Problem was the page number not resetting correctly between prints

Awesome!

I never do a preview, but "print all" still gives me the error even on the first print job. Glad you found and fixed the problem, though! Thank you!!

I was wondering about that, because even when I just "Print current page", the grid numbers are off by one (start with 0 instead of 1).
