Can I call you "Eddie Baby"?

You might have found a bug there.

My first two attemps were with manually entered files that had been generated using Puzzle Tiger. SS made no complaint about the legality of these files, but Lock > All {xy} produced an error.

I tried importing two old puzzles from Sumocue, and these worked fine.

So it's possible that the bug that you suggested only appears with manually entered files. :?

Can you send a private message to rcbroughton to alert him to this thread? He might miss it when he comes back from hols.

Another thing to try
1) manually enter the puzzle
2) save it
3) reopen using "load"
4) hopefully the problem is fixed
This has sometimes worked with other bugs in SS.

Cheers
EB ;)

Welcome to the forum, OldGrantonian!

By the way, I think this post belongs to Software and not Killer Techniques.

I agree. I've just sent a PM to Richard, requesting that he migrates this thread to the Software forum.
