I was just wondering what everyone else uses for sudoku generation. what out there can generate large gattai puzzles besides jsudoku? I mainly use jsudoku, sudocue and sudoku solver. I read that Børge has a sudoku program. which one is that? My wife and i love fiendishly difficult samurai puzzles and sumo puzzles and want to try some shaolin or clueless specials but can't find a generator besides jsudoku that makes them. Anyway, if anyone can let me know what programs they love, I would like to give them a try. thanks |

For personal use I have something that can generate extremely easy puzzles (N/H singles only) of virtually any size, and then by removing givens "gradually" make the puzzle harder. But in addition to my software I need an external solver, and I use JSudoku. With my program and JSudoku I generate all puzzles I post here. mercurycs wrote: My wife and i love fiendishly difficult samurai puzzles and sumo puzzles and want to try some shaolin or clueless specials but can't find a generator besides jsudoku that makes them. On this board I have posted around 200 difficult puzzles, Master level and above.Mostly Samurai and Clueless Explosion and Clueless Special. But also some Shogun (Gattai-11) and Gattai-8 puzzles. LINK My biweekly Clueless Explosion/Special included a Master level puzzle until and including #67, but since no one tried to solve them I stopped making them. If you have not tried any of my Master level puzzles, please give them a try. If they are too easy, please let me know. What do you exactly understand by fiendishly difficult? If I know exactly what you are looking for I can try and generate a sumo and/or a shaolin having the required difficulty. |
