If you mean blocking a class of moves such as all ALS or Chains then this can be done using the Solvers tab on the right hand pane of the window. Select or Deselect the type of move by clicking in the appropriate tick box. You can also Drag'n'Drop the types of move to change their priority.

If you mean ignoring an individual move but have JSudoku provide another (ie like Sudoku Explainer) then that is not possible. However you can still get one move of various types (if available) via the Highlight option.

Jean-Christophe, it appears that accessing the Generator tab of the options (even without making any changes) wipes out most of the key bindings, at least on my system. Is there a way to fix this?

I use jSudoku 1.5b2 on Vista Home Premium.

I tried to find outies for the nonet at the top right. It's obvious (?) that the value is "7".

However, jSudoku said "No useful outies found" (please see the attached graphic of the unsolved and solved puzzle.

Strangely enough, the innies are automatically inserted as 3,9,4 :)

Any advice?

I have selected all "8"

I asked for a clue:
8 of N6 locked in R456C7, R6C8

I would be grateful if anyone can explain this.

(I know how to look for simple intersections.)

It means that 8 cannot be in a common peer of those four cells, in this case, the same cage. This means no 8 in r3c7.

Not very helpful I'm afraid. Good luck!

Cheers
