Thank you Richard, will that be annouced somewhere or will the programm tell me when updates are available?

LunaC, he usually announces it here in the forum. The download page will also reflect the newest version.

He has a paying job and does this on the side, so he updates as he has time. I, for one, am very grateful for his work (not saying that you're not, of course :) ), as well as for this forum.

LunaC, do you have a source of Asterisk puzzles that you have found?

sorry for the late reply. I generated them in SudoCue but i don't like the way to solve it there so I would love to import them into Sudoku Solver and solve from there.

Now that a year has passed I thought I'd ask again if there will be a new version soon with the clover-x colouring the asterisk too.
Happy New Year to you all!

Hi, LunaC! Good to see you here again! I recently had a brief PM exchange with Richard. He has had to change jobs twice in the past year, as well as having some family things to attend to. Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to devote much time to the program. I'm pretty sure your request is on his list of planned additions, though.

The puzzle type "Asterisk" makes no colouring or other way of showing the cells for the Asterisk numbers.

Thanks for the feedback - that's definitely something that's broken - SudokuSolver is supposed to colour the cells. I can see the problem and will be able to fix it when I next get a version of the program ready.

Richard, have you been able to make any headway on this in the past 3.5 years since LunaC posted this?
